Once unearthed, CanadaMark diamonds can only be cut and polished by approved manufacturers.
Each manufacturer has been audited by an independent third party, to ensure that its processes can fully track the progress of a Canadian diamond, from mine of origin through to polished diamond.
Every certified CanadaMark diamond larger than 0.20 carats is given a certificate card. Before the card is issued, the manufacturer must provide detailed evidence of the diamond's origins, technical characteristics, and movement through its tracking systems.
The diamond is then laser inscribed with the CanadaMark logo and a unique serial number. This number is recorded on a certificate card, which accompanies it on the rest of its journey to you.
You can use our Verification Tool to confirm the authenticity of your CanadaMark diamond.
CanadaMark melee, which are smaller in size compared to certified stones, can also be traced to their Canadian origin. These diamonds are tracked on a parcel basis and therefore do not contain an individual inscription or certificate.
